Weekend of 6/2

Greenpoint Beer and Ale ‘Dance Around the 2 Pole’, 6.9% ABV, Maibock. Brooklyn, NY – A celebration of spring and the synthesizer. Longtime friend of GB&A/Brouwerij Lane, Jim ‘Bocky’ Barnes from Shelton Brothers worked with Greenpoint Beer and Ale to brew this hearty lager using rye malts and Saphir hops to give it the bright synth-like sparkle.

Stillwater Artisanal ‘Shoegaze’, 6% ABV, Distorted Farmhouse Ale. Baltimore, MD/ Brooklyn, NY – Inspired by the shoegaze movement in the music industry and the often distorted wall of sound many of those bands deliver. This beer combines the elements of a soft and hazy IPA with a farmhouse ale back drop. Brewed with oats, spelt, lactose and hopped with Simcoe, Citra, Centennial and Pacific Gem.

Allagash ‘Hoppy Table Beer‘, 4.8% ABV, Belgian Ale. Portland, ME – Low ABV, easily drinkable but still occupies a hop-forward spot on its own. A mildly hoppy aroma full of grapefruit springs from this straw colored, light-bodied ale. Flavors of pine and stone fruit balance the beers’ clean, slightly bitter finish.

Keg and Lantern ‘Learn How to Learn’, 5.2% ABV, IPA. Brooklyn, NY – Black pepper, orange, melon, grassy. Dank, dry and resinous. Brewed with Pilsner malt, flaked Barley, triple Pearl, Columbus hops, and Kolsch yeast.
