Hill Farmstead ‘Legitimacy‘, 6,5% ABV. Greensboro Bend, VT – IPA brewed with Simcoe, Motueka and Citra hops. Loads of Citra hops, tangerine, papaya, piney and earthy notes – very fruit forward, crisp, dry and light on the palate. Full flavored without being a hop-hammer to the face.
Mikkeller San Diego/ Stigbergets Bryggeri ‘Stiggy Puddin’, 7% ABV. San Diego, CA / Goteborg, Sweden – West/West Coast Turbid IPA with notes of biscuit malt, caramel sweetness, grapefruit pith, orange zest, herbs and earthiness with moderate amount of aggressive bitterness that lasts for a bit. Easy to drink with a well hidden ABV, can be crushed.
Grimm ‘Striking’, 8% ABV. Brooklyn, NY – DDH Double IPA – Almost as if you’re biting into an orange with it’s peel still intact. Truly a hop bomb – notes of tangerine, lemon, piney hops, graham cracker, biscuit, dry floral hops, apricot, guava and a nice malty balance, but the hop still dominates. Smooth as hell for a Double Dry-hopped brew!
Half Acre ‘Deep Space’, 10% ABV. Chicago, IL – Deep Space is the amped up imperial version of Half Acre’s taproom classic Space IPA. A solid malt backbone imparts a touch of caramel and helps keep its massive 10% ABV in check. Super fruity with notes of lemon, strawberry, peach and pine. A resinous delight.
