Chicago, IL/ Gary, IN – These mellow chilled out dudes and ladies brewed this Double IPA with lemony Sorachi Ave hops and fresh Devil’s lettuce from Dark Matter (coffee company in Chicago). Extreme coffee, pine, sweet caramel, hop oils and dank citrus. Scrumptious and tasty treat; would make a perfect breakfast beer!
Other Half/ Bunker Brewing ‘Boogie Board StuntZ’, 4.7% ABV, Kolsch. Brooklyn, NY/ Portland, ME – Brewed with Maine oats, and Mandarina Bavaria and Mosaic hops. Light and pleasant with some tangerines, bread, a little dank and spice with a bread crust-like maltiness in the background. Luscious, pleasant and CRUSHABLE AF. It’s gonna be 90 on Sunday y’all…
Grimm ‘DDH Tesseract’, 8% ABV, Imperial IPA. Brooklyn, NY – Double Dry-Hopped version of Tesseract. Juicy, aromatic with tropical fruit for days; undertones of resinous, dank spruce, firm bitterness, yet soft around the edges with a creamy and luscious mouthfeel. You think you’ve died and went to hop heaven.
Crux Fermentation Project ‘Banished: In The Pocket‘, 9.9% ABV, Barrel-Aged Rustic Saison. Bend, OR – Aged in NorthWest red wine barrels. One of the best brett beers i’ve put up – new to the NYC city area but these folks def know what they’re doing. Stone fruit, tart, light funk, wine, oak, peppery spice and brett-brett-brett. Very beautiful, elegant and delicious.
St. Bernardus ‘Abt 12’, 10% ABV, Quadrupel. Watou, Belgium – A classic ‘Quadrupel’ style of Belgium’s best Abbey Ales. Fruity, full of complex flavors, caramel and chocolate with roasted malts. A balanced beer with plenty of body and a light hop bite. Respect the OG brews.
Cloudwater/ Dugges ‘Vic Secret Sour’, 7.3% ABV, IPA. Manchester, England/ Landvetter, Sweden – A soured IPA featuring Vic Secret, brewed in collaboration with the always awesome Dugges. Tart, tropical fruit, lemon rind, funk, toasted grains and white grape must. Solid hoppy sour affair.
